[how to] conceal dark circles

Dark circles can come with time as we get older, when your sleepy, stressed, dehydrated or its just genetic. For whatever reason, they suck. Here are some of my tips to conceal them with makeup. I can do a post on treatments [skincare] that helps with them as well, just let me know.

Treat. Start by doing your regular skincare routine. Make sure to get the moisturizer really well under the eyes, if you dont have a eye cream just use a couple layers of your moisturizer. I love Bobbi Brown Hydrating Eye Cream & then i put a little Facial Fuel Eye De-Puffer by Kiehls [only use this if you have puffy under eyes as well]
Then use a good under eye primer, the one i use is Smashbox Photo Finish Hydrating Primer
Let it absorb for a few minutes.
Only use a tiny amount of each of this products since you will be using concealers, while letting each product properly absorb.
Conceal. Next, use a peach/orange concealer shade to conceal only the dark areas under the eye. The trick is finding a good shade that is a shade darker than your skin, it's needs to be dark enough to conceal the dark areas. Don't worry, we use a lighter concealer to brighten up the whole eye area. I love Benefit Erase Paste it's a perfect orange/peach tone. NYX has a great cheaper version Dark Circle Concealer
Brighten. After you have blended in the orange concealer. [use damp beauty blender with tapping motions, or just use you ring finger and tap the concealer into your skin. Be careful not to move the product around.] Apply a brighter concealer on top, make sure this is 1-2 shades lighter. I love Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer kit http://m.sephora.com or Maybelline Dark Circle Eraser is a great product too & apply it from under eyes to bottom of the nose in a triangle shape. [blend in with beauty blender]
Set. Anytime you put a cream/liquid on its best to set it. Especially the under eyes. Creasing can be a wreck! I love setting with the powder in the Bobbie Brown kit or Laura Mercier translucent powder.
